Sin Chew Daily reported on 2 September 2026 that the name of NZSK and the personal identity of partner Khoo Ai Theng (Lawyer Khoo) were used, within about half a month, to lodge two complaints with the police that neither the firm nor she made or authorised. On 18 August, the firm received an automated email from the police public complaints system (SISPAA) confirming a complaint filed under the firm’s name and official email. On 2 September, she received an email from the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) saying that a complaint made in her personal name had been received and was being investigated. She wrote to both units to say the complaints did not come from her or the firm, and urged the police to carry out an independent and impartial investigation into who filed them, why, and whether the same person was behind both, including by preserving and examining the electronic records of each submission.
